What I offer

Personal Training

One hour sessions for women of all ages and abilities, looking to build strength and understanding of their bodies and how to fuel them best, with a special focus on perimenopause/menopause and midlife hormonal changes.

An hour from your day of pure "you time". Whether you're a regular exerciser or have never stepped foot in a gym before, I would love to empower you through strength and conditioning training, walking you through each exercise step-by-step, whilst keeping a watchful eye on your form, with a training regimen crafted specifically to your needs and goals.

Pilates

Mat Pilates sessions built around your current level and requirements. Perhaps you've never tried Pilates before and would like a personal introduction, where I guide you through exercises broken down step by step, and answer any questions you may have, all at your own pace rather than a class environment. Or maybe you're a regular Pilates-goer, but would love more personalised attention to really get the most out of your session and focus on your form, fine-tuning movements and tailoring the routine to you. Whatever your level, let's build core strength through traditional mat Pilates.

Charlotte Scott deadlifting at Strength Circus, Malton

Lifelong fitness lover and all-things-active-enjoyer, I started out as a horse rider and swimmer after learning to walk, then discovered at 18 years of age what would turn out to be my absolute favourite thing in the whole world…weightlifting. The thing I am most passionate about, and for good reason. The physical benefits are overwhelming, but so are the mental ones — it helped me build self-confidence, resilience, and that solid belief in myself that if I can lift hundreds of kilograms, I can conquer all. And that is what I would love to share with you and help you hone through our PT sessions.

I found Pilates at around the same time, after being referred by physio to help with my Hypermobility Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. The physical improvements from consistent sessions were life changing for me managing my chronic condition.

Needless to say, I fell in love with both lifting and Pilates. I truly cannot do justice to how much they have changed my life, and I will continue to partake in them forever.

Weightlifting in particular has been there for me over the years, and helped me get through the hardest days, finishing a session feeling immediately better and giving me the strength to keep going — there really is nothing like ripping a huge deadlift PR, trust me.

I then tried my hand at powerlifting and bodybuilding, competing in a bodybuilding show just prior to 2020 (I'm not even going to say the C word). It's fair to say if it involves lifting heavy things from A to B, no matter the discipline, I'm going to love it.

In 2024 I then discovered running as a way to cope during a difficult period in my life — it really was a lifeline for me. It then became another passion of mine (mainly due to the chemicals of runner's high, if you know you know), alongside Pilates and weight training. They all go hand in hand for various reasons, and I'd love to help you become the ultimate fitness all-rounder, to cover all aspects of health, fitness, and mental wellbeing.

I created Prevail in September 2025, after going through the hardest couple of years of my life and coming out the other side realising I can survive and do anything I set my mind to. I decided to put the pain I'd experienced into power; got myself back on my feet, then took the plunge into self-employment after achieving my fitness qualifications, building my own business in the field I am undoubtedly most passionate about. It helped also being a graphic designer, as I was able to brand myself exactly how I'd like, after settling on the name "Prevail" — to prevail at something "means to win, triumph, or become dominant after a struggle", which is exactly what I did, and would like to empower you into doing too.

Personal training sessions with me are held at Strength Circus in Malton. I work with women of all ages and abilities, including those experiencing perimenopause, menopause, and the years surrounding them. No matter your goal or current level of training, I will tailor PT sessions to fit you and your body's needs.
